About Sinus Lift
A sinus lift is a surgical bone augmentation procedure used in selected implant cases in the upper posterior jaw. After tooth loss, bone height may reduce and the maxillary sinus may lie close to the planned implant area. Clinical examination and three-dimensional imaging help determine whether augmentation is needed.
The technique and timing depend on the remaining bone, sinus anatomy and implant plan. In some cases implant placement can be performed at the same visit; in others the graft is allowed to heal before implant placement. The final approach is decided after clinical and radiological assessment.
The final indication, treatment sequence, materials and timeline are confirmed after clinical and radiographic examination.
